Valvoline Restore and Protect wear data. How good does it really protect?

and suddenly things below 3.5 HTHS offer superior protection
Superior to what?

If the formulations are identical, the higher hths will protect better. But with so much research lately on lower hths oils, I have no doubt that there are some 30 grades out there that can outperform some 40 grades.

I think Valvoline Restore and Protect (Valvoline Restore and Protect) is in that elite club of 30 grades that have as good or better wear protection to many 40 grades.

But if we ever get the 40 grade variant of Valvoline Restore and Protect, it will be even better, I expect.

Just went to 2 Walmart no Valvoline Restore and Protect 5w30. ...went with the usual extended protection high mileage 5w30 👍👍
I can catch 5W-20 now and then, but I prefer 5W-30. I have to order it online and they ship to my house. Get two jugs at a time for free shipping. Plus, these days with some unknown out there, nice to have an oil change in the hole.

I have Valvoline Restore and Protect 5w30 on hand, but I picked up 3 of those $4 Quaker State 5W-20 AZ jugs-always nice to have cheap insurance!

$4 Quaker State jugs ?!?!
Are they full synthetic?

How does USA get some cheap deals like that?!?

Also, I've read some people used 1-2 qts Valvoline Restore and Protect as either part of oil change or top up between OCI and have noticed improvements.

Walmart screwups and the annual AZ and AAP clearances. Companies in many US states have to pay an annual warehouse tax, so they have the stores clear out the slow sellers with high stock.
