I'll be making beer-battered lobster tacos for dinner, exactly what my fiancee asked for. After a 70 hour work week we both just want to eat some good food and play with the dog on the weekends.

I have always asked my wife For as smart as she is, how could marry someone who never does anything right.

High five!! I will be sleeping in, finding something to do on one of the cars, and then watch NASCAR. I might go to the shooting range. I love being single.

I really did mean my hot rod as in the 70 Olds Cutlass or the 40 Ford truck!

To the OP: Not trying to take a shot at you or anyone in this thread, but I just don't get it.

I have been maried 46 years. She really doesn't expect anything for valentine's day. Sometimes I will get her a card for her birthday..that's optional. But I always wish her happy birthday. Its mandatory that I take her out on our anniversary.

This valentine's day I took her origional engagement ring and put in a dark purple amethist (relatively cheap stone..but its good quality). Again she didn't even expect anything.

This thread is hilarious!!!!

later,
ben

Wow..my hat is totally off for you.

Forgot to make dinner reservations AGAIN. I was able to get some late lunch reservations and we both get off work early so it works out best. Might go to a boat show that evening too. I was given some free tickets. RedBox later perhaps with some cake/ice cream.

2 years ago I forgot reservations entirely so we went to a NASCAR themed sports bar. Very memorable. Lol.

Just spending time together is enough to make us both happy. She's a peach.

Darn good woman my friend....lucky man.

read his signature: she drives a 67k miles stickshift/standard and she put up with hubbie's 306k miles german car....
I think he got a keeper....

I got Miss Linda a nice card, though I'll probably buy another with an animal on it. She sent me an email with four links as hints -- reasonably-priced garnet rings. I got her the mid-range priced model. (I learned long ago not to be "creative" with birthday, Christmas, or V-Day gifts, but to be traditional.)

Naturally I fired back an email of my own with links to detailing supplies on Griot's Garage and a digital tire gauge on Auto Sport Catalog. We'll see if she chooses something good.
