I'm a big fan of Amalie/Wolf's Head products made in Florida. Why, you ask? If nothing else I get them from a local auto parts store that is independently owned and he's such a huge resource for advice I feel compelled to buy his products. I had a good UOA with the Wolf's Head 15-40 in my old car. I also once called the company and asked about their product line and they sent me a whole care package with a hat, shirt, stickers, flags, key chain, etc.
I don't suspect that if I rang up ExxonMobil I would have gotten such personalized attention.

Avalons are made in Kentucky, by American workers. If you're so worried about 'American" don't buy a FiatChrysler -- Mexican engines and bodies made in Canada, not that I begrudge the Canadian auto workers any work.

well we can always blame it on unionized labor, which was part of the problem but lots more caused by no testing before production, bad design, bad selection of vendors and sub contractors, and bad materials, which when assembled immediately rusted ( the Vega, and 65 chevelle back glass clips) olds 4 6 8 diesel, corsair and on and on.

The last A01 honda filter I used was made in the USA. But that was like in 2008, an eternity in the Mergers and Acqisitions world.
Just remember when it's time to replace that Honda of yours that just because the nameplate says GM or Ford, there is no guarantee what you buy will employ more Americans that the nameplates of Honda or Toyota. So many parts these days come from overseas that its difficult to know which brand to purchase.
I was reading here and I noticed no one mentioned Amsoil. Oil Extreme possibly made in US.
good feedback every seriously its food for thought. I agree that buying from a foreign company that has manufacturing in the states does indeed help people here with employment but it would be even better if the entire corporation was home grown just for the sake of trying something different. Any way thanks again for all the points of view and suggestions.
Most of the big oil companies are global. For example soupus is a division of royal dutch shell which is headquartered in the Netherlands. Castrol is owned by BP which is headquartered in England. But also most of the big oil companies have a U.S. headquarters so I guess you could say they are American.

Royal Purple used to be (not completely sure if it still is) made in Porter,Tx and the bottles made in Schulenberg,Tx. I'm guessing before they got bought out,they were sort've a "mom and pop" oil company.

1992 Nissan Sentra
1995 Honda Accord

The Purolator BOSS PBL20195 I just bought says "Made in USA" on the canister.
With the exception of perhaps Brad Penn Motor Oil, I believe all the US owned oil companies import some to all of their base stock from other countries.

Good question. I'll answe this way. I'm young and growing up my family always had Hondas and Toyota. I was thought that they made better cars and I think that used to be the case. Now fast forward a few years and I have had no luck with Honda "long term". The Toyota I mention is my moms and I maintain it. I have owned the cars for almost 5 years now and I have since started thinking a bit more for myself. At this point they are paid off and not worth anything so I'm going to run them into the dirt but I will likely make a different choice in the future.
