Need quality oil filter for Honda 3.5 V6

Like this 'made in china' Nissan filter that destroyed the engine in my new 2014 Versa Note. Poor thing never had a chance. Cost me thousands in a trade at the selling Nissan dealer. I think I posted this at least 10 times over the years to get the point across, LOL

Looks o.k. on a quick glance, but can you spot what is wrong here? >
Looks like the filter element is too big for the can and might restrict flow.

As much as people on this forum (including myself) preoccupy themselves with things like filtration efficiency and bypass settings, construction quality is the single most important aspect of an oil filter. There's a lot that can go wrong with a filter: a burst can, leaky gasket, leaks from corrosion, internal obstructions, a missing bypass valve. Any of these things can cause oil starvation and kill an engine.

Even for a BITOG member, me thinks you obsess too much on the subject. But here's a relevant if partial list:

Yes, the fibre-composite end caps were a slip and close to an interference fit to the inside wall**. First cool day in first week of ownership engine started knocking as I set off on my work commute. Bypass poppet didn't save it.

**For newbies, pressurised oil (from the pump) enters the "shower head" perimeter holes in the baseplate then finds its way around the base end endcap to the outer surface diameter of the folded filter pleats - then passes through the media to the center core. Typically, there exist a good 2mm+ clearance (min.) here

Thanks EVERYONE!!!! I have been swamped this week and have not had a chance to read through all this but I will soon! Many thanks!
