Update on the 2022 Kia Soul - my first issue

Maybe check for something used on www.car-part.com, looks like they’re going for about $200. I can’t imagine it’s that hard to replace.

Crutchfield has aftermarket head units that will fit. They even including the plug and play wiring harness, plus any other trim pieces, tools, etc. Much better quality than the same junk Kia would put in that broke for $1,000....

I agree . For $1k he can have installed a new stereo with speakers the will blow the windows out of that KIA

Sure, they have things like iDataLinks that basically allow you to tap into all the car's features.

Or else, he can get a pretty nice stereo for a fraction of what Kia wants to charge him (without Goodwill adjustment) for a unit that is probably nothing more than a rebadged Hodozzy (or its equivalent.)

True but I think junior wants to listen to some good quality sounding music not talk radio

I replaced my entire sound system including running power and some new speaker wires in the Tundra so I'm confident I can do this job - just hadn't thought about aftermarket - thank you!

I'd go Pioneer or Clarion (which is back in business) but hard to find. Get an mtx audio amplifier which I still think are made in Wisconsin.

New pioneer speakers oh boy would it sound great

Aftermarket stereo has pretty amazing sound - and can still do camera and navigation - you name it … son had this display up that looked like a drone was flying over us

If you can spend a little more Focal and MB Quart are the top tier. A good set of Pioneer Premier speakers would still sound great over stock.

Road noise from a Kia Soul would mitigate going too crazy on the sound system.
