Triflow on brake caliper pins

Biggest issue besides heat tolerance is compatibility with the rubber dust boots. On my truck I'd used a syn wheel bearing grease once in a jam and the boots swelled up, they didn't appear to break down but I caught it 3mos down the line. The new replacements appear to be compatible with the silicone grease I use now, haven't noted any swelling.

I would literally go buy some Sil Glyde.
I'm done with experimenting with brake lube. Last one I used almost ruined my calipers it seized the slide pins so bad. Sil Glyde works perfect every time.

Well I broke down and followed everyones advise. Luckily Autozone (by far the closest parts shop, unfortunately) had some 4oz Sil-Glyde in stock so I picked that up

I have been using syn permatex caliper lube, and have had good luck with it. It turns a dark color with use. Seeing so many glowing reviews of sil glyde, I think I will switch when I run out or permatex...

I like the Permatex 24125 Ceramic Extreme Brake Lubricant. That stuff really sticks.
