I'd be ape if I owed that much on something I broke and was unlikely to ever repair.

Yup. And the funny thing is when I see these guys swerve into oncoming traffic to avoid a pot hole. Your truck is on 35" tires!!! Why did you swerve into the other lane?? Meanwhile the guy with an Accord that is 3" off the ground just tanks the pothole like a champ. My Jeep has a 2" lift. It doesn't see much offroad use besides dirt roads. That is mostly because there is no legal wheeling in CT. I do have Old Man Emu offroad shocks, and since I go over 2 sets of train tracks both to and from work they are worth every penny.

Stupid to hit the potholes regardless of vehicle, IMO.

I consider most of what Toyota North America offers in their current SUV/pickup lineup to be "entry-level" off-road vehicles compared to what is available in the overseas Toyota SUV/pickup market. Spend enough time overseas and you'll see most SUVs/pickups regardless of make, have a snorkel fitted to the engine from the factory.

I agree, but its smarter to hit the pothole than cross the yellow line into oncoming traffic to avoid it.
