Toyota 3.5 2GR-FE oil

Apologies, location is the midwest with temps up to 80s and high 90s at times in the summer and winters that have been known to reach -10 or -15 briefly at it's peak but generally in the teens.

M1 0/40 is my pic, tough to beat on paper..I don't tic but if it did for a sec then went away I wouldn't let that bother me.

Yes. the "Taco Tick" :( no oil type can change that.

The quietest oil I've run is Magnatec It seems somewhat thick and the engine didn't "seem to" rev up quite as fast but it was quiet.
Next would be QSUD. Then a tight grouping of Pennzoil Plat, Valvo Syn, and M1.
May try a higher octane. I run 89 in my 4.0L. It seems to quite her down some. I also run Amsoil PI every three months.

I presume the spring in the bottom of the oil cartridge cap is for oil bypass on cold starts, but do these engines have or even need anti drain back valves with a vertical mounted cartridge filer by the oil pan?
