Total Quartz Ineo Long Life 5W-30 upgrades

Since a bunch of us have many jugs of this oil sitting in our garages I just wanted to let everyone know that Total's Quartz Ineo Long Life 5W-30 has obtained 229.52 approval as well as API SP rating. According to Total, it's the same exact formula, just undergoing further testing, and passing them.

Advance Auto Parts used to carry it. Late last year they had a blowout sale and bunch of us scored this and a couple other oils from Total. Not sure where you can get it now. Its great oil indeed

I believe the average price I (and most of us) paid for a 5QT jug of this stuff on sale was around $11. That is a good price for an oil carrying those monstrous approvals.
Not sure what is its regular price and where you can find it now...

Went super fast with Advance Auto sale/clearance. Wish I would have been able to grab more than what I got. The Total 0W20 is running super smooth in the 2023 Rav4 Hybrid at the moment.

Yup good ole AAP clearance!!! I was able to get like 75-100?? jugs and few cases of the single qts including a crazy 10W-60 that I never knew existed??? Many where the 5W-40 that general public didnt want to touch lol

$8 was final price on the 5qt jugs before they went to .5 cents and as we ALL know with AAP.......GAME OVER

If you search for total oil on this forum, smooth running seems to be a feature. I used castrol edge 5W/40 in my diesel once (second fill) and it wasn't as smooth as the total I used after that.

I don't know why or how that is.

Smooth is a characteristic for sure. I have the Total 5W40 in my John Deere Zero Turn at the moment and "same!!!"

And here I was fussing over my fears of LSPI between the SN (Long Life) and the SN Plus (Ineo MC3)

I bought so much of that oil
But I never bought the 0w20 or 10w60
I reserved the 5w40 for oil burning Hyundai/Kia engines
An alarming amount of it from the AAP in Linden, NJ
Just up the road from the distributor

I was in an AAP two weeks back in Woodside that still had some 1qt bottles tucked in the back, I should go back and see what they ring up as/if they'll sell them to me

I believe at this point my Castrol Edge EP hoard outweighs my Total stock
I must do inventory
