Too Soon for Auto-Rx?

After reading the glowing reports of Auto-Rx I purchased a bottle recently with the intention of using it in my 2000 Toyota Celica. The car has 53000 miles on it, all highway, and has no problems that I am aware of. I have used Valvoline 5w30 for the life of the car.

My plan was to use it at the upcoming oil change and after the rinse phase switch from Valvoline to Mobil 1 5w30.

Is this too soon to use this product? Should I hold onto my bottle of Auto-Rx until I rack up some more miles?

No!!!!!!!!!! It is not too soon. I Auto-rxed my car when it has less than 20,000 miles on it. Auto-rx will remove deposits from you engine. I was shocked by the carbon that came out of the engine. I will soon be doing my third Auto-rx treatment when I have about 40,000 miles on the care. I think it is a good practice to Auto-rx your car every year. I believe that it will prevent problems down the road.

If you have been using conventional oil I think you have significant build up at 53000. I think a car using full synthetic takes 75000+ to build up anything worth cleaning out. I base this on what I see at 113000 on my Honda Accord. I definity needed two treatments as the last bit of caked on dirt/sludge only disappeared on the 2nd final rinse. It had used conventional oil all it life. My Miata has seen Synthetics all it life and appears very clean at 55,000.
