Perfect timing-my Auto-RX arrived same day oil cha

Perfect timing. My Auto-RX arrived the same day I changed the oil. With warmer weather coming I just used Valvoline 5W30. I put 1 bottle of Auto-RX in.

I guess the mileage and everything has changed since I last did an Auto-RX cleaning. Except for maintenance doses I have not used Auto-RX in a while. I like to do a cleaning about every 25,000 miles. Now the cleaning is 2500 miles? And then the rinse cycle.

I will not use any Auto-RX for the rinse cycle and then I will have enough for maintenance doses for 8 oil changes. I got 3 bottles. I like the new bottle. I used to use 4 ounces for the maintenance dose but I guess now it is 3 ounces for a car that has 5 quarts of oil.

With maint doses why do you have to do a cleaning?

Actually, it has now been about 4 oil changes since I last did a maintenance dose.And I don't think the maintenance doses are supposed to totally replace the cleaning.

This cleaning I am doing now should take the car to about 100,000 miles.

Actually, Mystic, if you read a bit at the ARX homepage, you will find out that when the engine is clean inside, it will remain clean when you use the maintenance dose.
To conclude: Yes, the maintenance doses are supposed to totally replace the cleaning(when the engine is clean).

In some tests, the maintenanse doses themselves, have proven to do some cleaning, despite of the small amount.
