Last March when I first purchased Auto-RX, the application instructions were alot different then currently. The first time I ran Mobil Drive clean 800 miles with the 12oz of Auto-RX and then reinstalled Mobil 1 for the rinse. I have used 3oz maintenance doses of Auto-Rx since then with the last change useing Lube Control.

Should I redo my application using the new instructions or do you think the application I did then and the following maintenance doses is sufficient? Thanks.

No symptoms, just didn't know if I got the engine as clean as it could be by only going 800 miles on the initial dose and using synthetic for the rinse. Thanks for the input.

I have found synthetic to be an excellent, albeit expensive "flush" after AutoRx. The synthetic base, be it PAO or Polyolester, seems to clean up the softened varnish following AutoRx.

If your engine is running fine, continue with the M1.

I didn't see that in his post....

wow, I'm impressed...you actually follow what everyone is running. I know a few: You = GC, Me = Amsoil, Buster = Redline, Amsoil, Mobil1 (changes daily

), Bob = Schaefer's....

Well then back to the topic. I guess if Wayne sticks with dino, then do another clean in 20K miles.

Hi Frank, I had used the autorx in my '84 volvo 240 diesel a while back
and it really improved the compression and slowed oil burning.
Sadly ( and unrelated to your product ) I fried the rings a while later
on vacation ( rotella and Mystic oils don't play nice together I found
out the hard way) but the good news is that when I started pulling the
thing apart on the stand last night, I was shocked to see the insides of
a diesel with 235,000 miles on it( that had not been particularly well
mantained before I got it ) with NO sludge inside, anywhere. I'll be
able to clean up the oil pan with a rag, instead of a chisil. I havn't
got the head off yet to pull the pistons , but I'm itching to see what
the ring grooves look like.

By the way, the stuff has my wifes transmission on her '90 volvo 240
shifting smoother.

Thanks---------Robert & Tara Ludwick

Sorry, I guess I'm silly that way, memorizing what a lot of the people on here are currently running. It's a sickness.
