Things your dogs have eaten.....

GF's labradoodle has chewed up AT LEAST a dozen Verizon Fios TV remote controls. You'd think they would have learned in that house to put the things out of reach. I've bought her replacements on eBay. When I look for treats for him I keep searching for "remote control" flavor, but no luck yet.

My buddy's dog loves raw jalapeno peppers. He'll sneeze and cough and sputter, but that won't deter him. His other dog ate the dead mouse babies in a mouse nest in a vehicle we were cleaning out at his farm. Yeesh.

Our beagle was watching me eat a snack one night. Jalapeno cheese. So I tossed down a piece. She picked it up and dropped. Picked it up and dropped it. This went on 10 or 20 times before she could get it down. Then she sat there licking her lips for several minutes.

Then went back to staring at me for more.

I'll eat some spicy pad thai and if I drop a noodle she won't touch it. I think she's had enough of the spicy food.

Years ago, before I met her, my wife's dog ate a bag of marijuana. She said the dog was stoned for days! She had another dog who would eat her pet rabbit's poop. He frequently had seizures. As soon as she started keeping him away from the rabbit's poop, the seizures stopped.

One time I was eating a banana and the dog was begging me for some. I broke off a piece and gave it to him. He immediately spit it out. Apparently he didn't like the taste. Then he immediately starts begging for another piece!

Recently one of our thieving/sneaky Aussies stole a package of chocolate pinwheels while we were unloading groceries. Found the empty wrapper behind the couch! Surprised she didn't get sick since chocolate and dogs are not a good match.

Ours are outdoor dogs so they don't get into people food that often. Usually they just find something dead, or parts of it and bring them back. Once someone dumped their spare deer parts on the road side near us and they brought home the head and some legs and it all got eaten or buried pretty quickly.
Our dogs will stash food too, the latest was a goose egg which impressed me. It was buried except for the very top in some dirt near the barn. Enzo has been known to eat a couple dozen chicken eggs at a time too, so it must've taken some will power to save the goose egg for later.
