The most you've spent on a repair or main?

Hitachi isn't junk - they are more or less Bosch clones. Denso and Keihin ones are different creatures than Bosch/Delphi injectors...

When I bought my Dodge a few months ago, I did so knowing the ball joints needed replacing. A week later those were replaced, both upper and lowers, and while it was in there I had the trans. filters and fluid changed, and diff fluid replaced with synthetic. Oh yeah, and had the mechanic change the oil. The total bill for that, parts and labor was $750.

Had to replace other parts such as the brake booster, master cylinder, oil pressure sensor.

Yeah, my dad had to pay $900 for a carb rebuild in his 1987 Hyundai Excel.

I think my most expensive repair was when I put a A/C compressor on my Cavalier. I want to say it was probably $250 all said and done after freon and everything.

The OEM ones are actually BOSCH, they aren't made by Nissan of course.

Looks like they're side-feed injectors. If they were top-feed, replacements would be easy to find. The #19 top-feed injector used in my Mustang is one of the more common injectors out there--Chrysler and BMW use it as well, and Ford used it in multiple models through the years. As a result, you can get a set of 8 new ones from Ford Motorsport for about $250.

I got a set of 8 used/cleaned/flow-tested injectors for $120 when the ones in my Mustang started leaking externally at about 150K miles and 15 years old. They've been working fine since.

around $500 for front and rear rotors and pads for a 1994 Saturn SL1...

Also around $500 for timing belt change for the 02 Elantra.

ouch. and brakes are crazy easy to do on a saturn S series.

most I've spent in recent memory is about $900 on a timing belt in my '96 Mazda MPV. but all total, I spent about $3500 (probably more) in repairs on that monster in less than 2 yrs.
it's gone now, no tears shed.

Paying durn near 3k$ for a remanned dealer installed engine into an 83 Wagoneer LTD. Worth every penny. The engine is now in its third Wagoneer.
