What would be the perfect Uber vehicle in your opinion? As a passenger or driver? (Specify)

I had my first Uber ride in 2022 and another which was over 65 miles to pickup my new Maverick from a PA. Dealer.

The first ever was Platinum Rogue and yes it was white with tan leather and the woman driver was scared to death... Comfortable but a dog on the steep hills

The long trip was in a late model top trim Accord and that was a pretty decent but in typical Honda fashion a bit too much road noise. EX-L I suppose..

My ex wife has a new Kia EV9 (7 passenger) that she uses for Uber and for our tour company and it’s a great experience for the driver and passengers. I recently drove it for about 6 hours and was very impressed with how smooth it was and how quickly it accelerated for such a large and heavy vehicle. It’s going to be perfect for the wine tours we have booked for the next few months.

I will back into this question. I have adult children. They come with us quite frequently, so when we were CUV shopping in 2019 I tried the back seat in everything. The clear winner in the category we were trying was the Rav4 and CR-V - by a mile. Everything else was cramped or just plain uncomfortable - like sitting on a 2x8.

So IMHO the best Uber would be one of those.

If you want to pick me up in an M5, thats OK too.

I have taken lots of Ubers. Had everything from a Grand Wagoneer to a ancient Civic burning as much oil as gas.

What about maintenance and mpgs?

Mitsubishi Outlander Sport of course. Driver or passenger. Perfection especially for highway cruising.

A VW Jetta would make a good Uber if you were to buy for that purpose. Solid, comfortable, reliable, fun to drive and crazy good gas mileage.

Toyota Crown Signia.
NOT the electric Toyota Crown.

No one knows them, no one has seen them. It's a hybrid, above a Prius or Rav 4, doesn't go crazy with unproven technology, and is actually more of a Lexus (made in Japan, and a lot of parts from the Lexus parts bin) than a Toyota.

As a driver it would be a Toyota Crown Signia or the Camry Hybrid.

As a passenger it would be a passenger Toyota Crown Signia. or the Camry Hybird.

Discloser own a Toyota Crown Signia XLE it is a very comfortable ride with a fair amount of room for road trips.

Either the Prius V, or a plugin hybrid

The C-Max seems like a good choice, given that they are very cheap to buy, and have awesome gas mileage (even better if you can get the Energi plugin version)

Outlander PHEV, or even a Honda Clarity PHEV would work, too

In the Seattle metro every uber I've had the last 3 years has been a Japanese hybrid or an EV. As a passenger do I not care about the car at all. If I were to drive for uber it would be an EV without question. It would make the most money, has Uber incentives and a similar ROI.

All this talk about comfort and economy......
I was thinking about hosing out barf. You know, vinyl seats + flooring with drain holes.

Happy St. Patrick's Day (get it?)

SERIOUS RESPONSE: Are there vehicles "so bad" that Uber (etc.) has data on passengers reacting negatively upon seeing their ride?
