I remember taking driver's ed in the 80's. They had a Ford Probe that everyone else but me wanted drive, and a Camaro which is what I wanted to drive. I drove the Camaro mostly and it was pretty cool even though it was just a 2.8 or 3.1 V6.

Thanks for the info rshunter as yeah it was LOVE CONNECTION. Saw something friday night at local club I eat fish at; as they sell MALLO CUPS candy bar. Didnt know they still had mallo points in the package.

My second mother-in-law had one, and I drove it once to take our kitten to the vet while my wife was using my Mercury. Not too bad a car.

I always wished, though, that she'd had a Cavalier, so I could say with perfect truth that she was "cavalier" about taking care of it. . . .

I vividly remember the celebrity the neighbors had. Good old car, dad did oil changes for them and it lasted a while til it finally rotted out from the snow, salt, etc. I still remember the early to late 80's cavaliers and the early 90's cavaliers with the nice wheels and cheesy center cap covers, graphic package on them. Yeah, MALLO CUPS have been around years RSHunter, grandpa told me about them many times.

The 80s were over when I took driver's ed in a Chevy Celebrity. I don't know if that means they were good cars, the school board was broke, or both.

Hello again guys, and does anyone on this wonderful forum/board remember the EDMONTON OILERS reign in the 80's and 1990 season? I vividly remember them winning in 90'. Let me know and thank you all in advance

Who could forget Wayne Gretzky? Who could forget how bad Oilers fans hated when the team traded him to the LA Kings? Then there was the hatred and vitriol directed at his new (at the time) bride, because they held her responsible. Never mind that the Oilers had been shopping him around to other teams for some time, behind his back...

P.S.: GO PENS!!!

I remember some of the movies from the 80's like "the goonies" and others. Remember my aunt on moms side telling me about for long time that SCHLITZ beer was so big till like late 80's early to mid 90's also. Now she drinks MILWAUKEES BEST. Anyone remember the ICE beers (like Milwaukees Best Ice and BUD ICE?

HA!
Yes, Icehouse, Bud Ice, Miller Ice. Ice brewed and about double the alcohol content! Crazy times!

Shows like the Dukes of Hazard, The Incredible Hulk, Night Rider, Air Wolf, Blue Thunder, All American Hero, and the other show where the dude would ride the black motorcycle that could speed into hyperwarp speed. Gosh, what's the name of that show?

Never mind, googled it and found it:

Street Hawk!

And oops, the show was The Greatest American Hero. I can still sing the theme song today. I remember him being able to rub this hands together very fast and turning something bright red hot. Absolutely crazy how I can still remember that.

Hey rshunter, PENGUINS won today over the FLORIDA PANTHERS 2-1 in a shootout. Yeah, I remember pete pocklington was a horse trader too! Think Gretzky was in his very best PRIME FORM when he was a Oiler. I remember some of the cheesy songs from the 80's movies like the Karate Kid series, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, and Cocktail. Anyone here remember the actress Elisabeth Shue, and how good she still looks?! DANG! Growin up in the 80's I remember how well the Pittsburgh Pirates became also, now look at them. Anyone here remember cassettes? I remember them more than CD's

adam

FiremarshalRob, I do remember BUD ICE, BUD DRY, and Milwaukees Best Premium and Ice. In the strike shortened 95' stanley cup where the NJ DEVILS swept the Detroit Red Wings(sorry Kestas, and LS2JSTS) that the rink had Bud Ice and Starter as sponsors.

Rock and roll, mainly a bunch of hair bands(big, ugly hair styles worn by guys), pop or soft rock, teeny music like Cyndi Lauper, Tiffany, various bands that were easy listening, etc. Help T56 out can ya folks, as I am not that old!
