Anyone remember Allen Gaines, he still pulling?

Anyone here remember the Allen Gaines truck puller from Georgetown KY and does he still pull with his trucks? I remember him when I was a young kid in the 80's. Any info is appreciated. I remember he always drove barefoot so he could "feel the truck"

I forgot the driver's name, but he used a stick to control the throttle and all the announcers said he would have the best control when pulling..
he never won any pulls though.

probably wasnt allen gaines then, as he was a champion for I think 5 yrs or so.
