Tesla Full Self Driving (FSD)

It's all over this morning's news, the NHTSA seems to be cracking down on FSD, autonomous driving vehicles, whatever you want to call it for blocking emergency and first responders vehicles at accident scenes, emergencies, etc. They want to see it to succeed and develop, but they want to make it safer. Still not ready for prime-time imo.

That's precisely why as long as the person behind the wheel isn't an idiot and takes over when necessary it's a non issue. Unfortunately that's not everyone and in the case of Waymo, there is no driver in the car to take over and that's only done remotely.

There are definitely things that are issues for autonomous driving that just aren't a problem for an attentive driver.

Apparently even with all the idiots on the road it is enough of an issue for the NHTSA to address and make the news this morning. Regarding idiots there are plenty of them driving all makes and models, so there's one point we might agree on.
