Yep.

I would ... Super Tech Synthetic 5W30 for instance meets D1 / Gen 2 . By how much head room , I don't know - but it still has to meet the spec . Warren is not some fly by night company - they run a good company and save you money due to no advertising .

Warren is a good company, they make good stuff as proven by its many users' experiences and lab tests. The high Moly in QSUD could make the difference in some applications, but the vast majority of users will do well with either.
That being said, any other criteria beyond "they both meet the specs" will be the defining one when choosing one or the other: Price, color and shape of the jug, etc. And last but not least, trust in the manufacturer. As silly as it may seem, trust combined with price point is what moves the market. Not UOAs.

I have ran both in my Acura & Subaru -- I can tell you -- the QSUD is silky smooth from day one till end of OCI at 5000 mile intervals. ST Fully Synthetic past 3000 miles on both engines is noticeably louder. I am not saying that Super Tech is still not doing its job though. For the 3 bucks more -- QSUD is a clear winner in my book.

Yep. Moot point here anyway as WM not listing QSUD in viscosity I'd be interested in, and not is store stock. At $14.37 no rebate price with all it's certs, ST Synthetic great value now.

If you have a family farm and home or Big R store than go there and buy the formula that WPP considers to be their best oil...Mag1. Less money and you'll cut out the middle man.

Quaker State because of the moly and the ST's Jugs are so hard to open with only my fingers.

Warren Distribution told me ST syn and Mag1 were essentially, but not exactly, the same. ST syn is easier to find, good enough for me and cheaper. Not so for Mag1.

Mag1 is carried locally here by a large gas/carwash chain Deltasonic. It's pretty cool in the clear bottles...
