Supertech 0w16 and 0w40 now available

>>>>Just in case some don't know already you don't "need" to use 0w-8/16. Use 0/5w-30 all day if you want as opposed to 8/16 grade.

Supposedly Toyota electric oil pumps spec'd for 0W16, do not like 30 grade.

Don't flame me (I use 0W30 in my "manual recommends 0W20" engine w/a belt-driven oil pump), I'm just repeating what I heard from a credible source and grabbing my popcorn for the eventual kerfuffle.

Main point being, don't rely solely on randos for definitive advice on your brand new 0W8 car.

It’s not an electric oil pump, for the 834th time. Complete Internet nonsense, as is the rest of the lore about it not liking a 30-grade.

And no it won’t shear off the drive gear either.

Seven bucks per quart? They're rolling forward the savings!

Hmmm....

My Challenger 392 takes 0W40. The Pennzoil Platinum that the manual "recommends" is hard to find and a little pricey in stores. I wonder how this Supertech 0W40 will compare? If the virgin samples were similar, I'd definitely try it!

Then why not just use M1 FS 0W-40?

I think the QS Euro 5W40 would be fine for that application. 23 bucks for 5 qt.
