Subaru Japan now only recommends two oil grades 0W-30 and 10W-50

Something interesting Subaru Japan now apparently only recommend 0W30 for regular cars and 10W50 for WRX STI's...I know in the past they used to recommend 5W30 and 5W40...

That rock crusher they call an engine in the STI probably does need 50 weight. Everyone was running Rotella T6 5W-40 when I had my legacy GT with the EJ255 because the engines didnt like 5W-30.

In my country Subarus dosent have oil burning issue like the US have... so complaints would drop.

Interestingly the 10W50 is different than the regular Total Quartz racing 10W50...that or the pdf wasn't updated (2014?).

NOT APPLICABLE TO FA or FB engines ie most subarus in US since 2011-2013 old news?
