Hi everybody, I just went to Autozone and I got a STP oil filter #s6607 for my honda because I though it was free after rebat but I didn't read the fine print about having to buy other STP products. Then when I came home I did a search and some people on here say that it's pretty much the same as a supertech which is half the price so I was wondering is the STP any good and should I use it or should I take it back? thanks

I don't know what you paid, but take it back or use is is no big deal either way. STP I remember reading is also made by Champion Labs.

I am new to Honda sized filters, but I have to say SuperTech # 2317 filters made by Champion Labs sold at WalMart for 2.07 is pretty hard to beat for the price performance ratio. It is even better when the oem recommended oil filter replacement is every other oil change or 20,000 miles!

(not actually, but last time I bought Honda filters was for a new 1982 Accord)

The STP is the same as the Bosch filter. Super Tech like STP and Bosch. Get the larger filter 7317 (not 2317) That's the number for Supertech and STP. Not sure what the Bosch # is. Just look up the filter for the Year 2000 Maxima (or earlier) to get the equivalent of the 7317. Mobil is 110 and K&N HP 1010.
