Molakule, in my boat motor big block chev. the crank and rod clearances are .002 across the board checked by a micrometer upon assembly.I though I could use 10w/30 oil with the clearances. The oil gets to hot so I had to go to a 40wt oil.Not to be mean but I have a toyota truck that recommends 10w30 oil it has an oil cooler.
Some thoughts on manufacturers suggested viscosities....
