On these trucks they show the compass with the odometer when you open the door. See the pic I posted earlier. That is normal.I've never seen a vehicle show compass with door open key off. Odometer yes.
.......... Every picture I’ll I’m seeing is a lot of money getting spent
RH, yes the VIN does come back as a F350. I did order a new window sticker from Ford, but it comes in the mail and takes week. I tried to get a build sheet from compnine, but the VIN is not showing up in their database. Compnine database only goes through 2019, and the automated reply is this VIN may not yet be in their database.@GON -have you confirmed the VIN in fact decodes to an F-350? I’d assume IAA did but wondered if maybe this was some F-250 to DRW F-350 conversion project. Maybe try a Ford parts dept to see what trim package comes back to the VIN? The headrest issue is weird.

I going to follow along on this ride. Should be a good one.
On the plane enroute to try and pickup the F350. Started to get some background on why the truck "won't start".
Starting to wonder if the center console missing may be the reason. Watching this 1 minute video, it demonstrates how to start the truck when " no key detected".
Based on your pictures it looks like the two passengers side doors are closing fine and are undamaged (except for the paint). In the earlier pictures it looked like they weren't closed all of the way and I know that several people commented that they might have been swapped.Didn't get her started, I ran out of time and the kicked me out. I think she will start with some amps. Cattle guard prevented me from opening the hood. I need a long screwdriver to push the latch.
Truck has a ton of little things. As long as she runs, I should be in good shape. Heading to San Antonio now to pickup taillights and center console.
Speculation only. Truck was stolen and was rode hard off the main terrain on both sides of the boarder. The language is Spanish, the prepackaged food reflects someone working long hours in the vehicle.I have spent time in every town you mentioned - and have never seen an F350 shredded like that - it’s one thing for the crooks to strip that interior - but that body damage is bizarre …
The actual King Ranch uses heavy “bump gates” - and those ranchers put brush guards on HD pickups …
No idea what the right side. But I am brainstorming some ways to cover the hole until I find a replacement bed, such as a cosmetic rubber plate.Based on your pictures it looks like the two passengers side doors are closing fine and are undamaged (except for the paint). A low or a weak battery can make some vehicles fail to detect those remote keys. I would swap batteries before doing any other troubleshooting.
Any idea what they hit with the RH side of the truck and that did all of that damage?
The module is under the center console. The console is gone, but I located the module and seems ok.I’m curious, does the module that senses your key and allows the truck to be started via the push start button, does it live behind the dash or is it in the centre console where the place is to put the key if your fob battery dies? Just wondering encase you get in a situation where it won’t crank.
