Share Your Oil Consumption if Any

My vehicles:
2005 Ranger. Just under 100k miles.
2000 4Runner. Just under 300k miles.
1997 Dodge van. Just under 200k miles.
1993 F150. 250k miles.
No measurable oil consumption within 5k OCI's. Any leaks have been repaired. I have used everything from 0w-20 to 5w-40. Only consumption noted was with w-20 oils.

All post 2015 Euro models. Zero oil consumption.

Triumph motorcycle. Zero consumption.

Seems like most if not all vehicles remain at the "Max." level if the oil is changed per schedule or annually. Hate that many have removed an available dip stick, but beginning to understand why.

I ran my 2015 Ram 1500 with 5.7L Hemi for 19,000 miles before the last oil change. I added about a quart at the 10,000-mile point, and when I finally changed the oil it was close to a quart low. I'm pleased with that rate of consumption. I use Red Line 0W-20.

My A3 has always consumed around 1qt/2500mi, like clockwork.

My Jeep consumes/leaks around 1/2 qt over a 4-5000mi OCI. Although lately it's been time based OCIs rather than mileage.

Wife's Elantra GT doesn't seem to consume. It stays very close to full over a 5-7k OCI.

My Mustang has varied a little bit. ~1/2 a quart or so over 5k OCI. Dipstick is annoying to read.

2009 Mk4 City Jetta: About half a litre every 1000km give or take. It's been doing that since new. Since the 2.0L engine doesn't really care what it gets it's an excellent way to get rid of random leftover oil.

2016 Scion FRS: Nothing measurable. Switched from 20 to 40 weight euro oils early on and never noticed any consumption on any grade used.

2020 Hyundai Tucson: Hard to say. Level is higher at the end of the OCI than at the beginning. So if it does burn oil, it's less than the fuel that the direct injection is introducing into it.

2022 Toyota Corolla (old 1.8L engine, not the new 2.0L): None so far. Did an oil change after break-in and check the oil level every 1000 or so kilometres.

My 09 Camry uses at least a quart every 1K, next oil change I'm going to try a piston soak to see if that helps.

‘15 F-150 5.0L with 125k miles (just sold it) burned 1/2 quart every 7500 miles.

‘16 Silverado 5.3L with 90k miles is always at the full mark also with 7500 mile OCI’s.

‘21 MX-5 2.0L with 9500 miles is currently 5700 miles into it’s first oil change, still at full on the dipstick.

my Highlander has 205,000 miles and consumes ZERO oil. have had since new.

my 4Runner consumes ZERO oil.

my Classic Mini with her 1275 A Series engine which has a shared sump, leaks all over the place since factory new; consumes 1 quart every 250 miles. that's part of her personality and i love her just the way she is.

same for me, none of my japanese cars consume any oil. i just gave my Corolla to my mother-in-law and it also doesn't consume anything. my lil british toy is another story, lol

The 3 cars in my signature consume no measurable oil between changes, which ranges from 5k miles in the Audi to 7.5k miles in the Honda. The Acadia falls inbetween. The Honda does have the VCM muzzled.

Now my SIL's Audi Q5, whole different story. Current rate of consumption is 1 liter of oil in the drive from Milwaukee to our house in Appleton, or around 100 miles. The 2.0t is notorious for consumption and her local dealer did the 2 part test and determined that it needs new pistons and rings. It's a 2015 so not included in the recall/extended warranty VIN range. I'll try a BG cleanse this weekend to see if it can be saved.

We had a '94 Saturn SL2 and a '99 SaturnSL2, both consumed 1 qt. every 500 miles. Think the wife's '94 was acquired around 140K or 150K and went to the next owner at 220K or 240K. My '99 Saturn was acquired at 120K and went to a u-pull it lot at 240K, the original cat went at 215K.

Current:
'13 Cruze LS 1.8l - no noticeable consumption bought new
'06 Cobalt LT - around 1 qt, maybe a little less every 5K

Before you switched to a 6K OCI, what OCI were you doing with the OLM?

I'll start out by saying that since my 1977 VW Rabbit, which was recalled for leaky valve stem seals, I've had no measurable oil consumption with any of my cars until my two current rides. My wife's 2011 Acura TSX wagon has consumed about 1 quart of oil per 3,000 miles for the the past 6 years or so. I received a notice from Acura about 7 years ago extending my powertrain warranty and warning of increased oil consumption. The notice recommended using to Top Tier gas to combat the problem and I also put Techron in the tank couple of times a year for several of years. Additionally, I stopped using the "maintenance minder" and switched to an OCI of 6k miles, alway 0w-20 full synthetic. This reduced consumption from 1 qt. per 1,500 miles to my current 1qt. per 3,000 miles with 114,000 miles on the odometer. I was inspired me to check my 2007 V6 manual transmission Honda Accord and it's using about a quart every 6k miles. I typically add a half quart midway between oil changes. I'm just curious about other's experience with newer cars and oil consumption. I'm chalking it up to the use of low tension piston rings in the Acura along with its high compression (11:1) engine.

All three vehicles in my sig have been consuming oil lately. All 3 in the last year had the PCV valve changed. The Camry loses about a quart per 3000 miles. The Sienna would lose about a quart per 5000 miles, although the last 1000 mi since the PCV has been changed, there has been no loss. I'll see if that continues that way or not. The Highlander has lost 1.5 quarts over 5000-6000 miles for the last two OCIs.

1975 Ford Capri 3.0 V6 : Engine has about 180k on it but no oil consumption since replacing the valve stem seals, before that it drank oil, like 5 quarts every 3000 miles 🤣.
1988 Ford Escort 1.6 XR3i : 123k miles , uses maybe 1 quart in 4500 miles, probably also from the stem seals.

136,000 miles on the 2011 Kia Soul 2.0L Beta II and 32,000 miles on the 2019 Kia Soul 1.6L Gamma GDI and no noticeable oil consumption over the 3000 - 4000 mile OCI. Moms 2012 Accent (1.6L GDI) with under 50k miles doesn’t use any either.

I think the only car I’ve had that I had to add at least a quart per 3k miles was my old 2002 Saturn SL2. I might have had some thirsty winter beaters when I was younger but I didn’t have them long enough to remember or care.
