While I don't like the routine doom and gloom scare tactics in their newsletter...I don't have to subscribe or read it. But giving credit where credit is due...I couldn't find a better deal on a case of decent .380. Ordered a case of Magtech brass case Tuesday afternoon and it was on my front steps Friday afternoon...$380 including tax and I ponied up the $2.50 for insurance.
I don't want to waste my time if something goes wrong with shipping and UPS and FedEx are not what they use to be.
Should be able to try my new Ruger Security .380 next week.

Try Defender Ammo, 100grn fmj, excellent ammo. I run it in my G42 and my sisters ruger swcurity 380. Cheaper price aswell.

SG is usually one of my top 3 places for ammo. Overall great prices and shipping is usually free. However post pandemic the email newsletter doom and gloom every other week is just too much for me. It's just annoying.

It bothered me too...and he doesn't let up with it.
He rode that nitrocellulose shortage...that never really materialized relentlessly...and here we are with any kind of ammo one would want at fairly decent prices. Total BS.

He's following the oil industry model...any time any one farts in the Middle East or Ukraine or elsewhere... shortage...buy now or else, scarcity. It works for the stupid.

Is he selling at SG?
No. It was an alternate suggestion on good 380. Best actually, IMO. $339/1000 rounds new prod.....$246 reman. I have seen no difference in reman or new....verified by chronograph. Veteran owned, local company.

I too like SG. I am big into AKs, and they have the best selection of AK ammo.

I googled it and checked the site. They're currently sold out of .380.
New and remanufactured. Pretty reasonable on .38 though. I'll keep them in mind. Thanks.

For future reference, .380 ammo is all over the map. Its made all over the world, with differing power factors, even the brass is shaped differently and extractor rim depths being shaped differently with differing depths. Its quite weird to be honest. As such, .380 pistols are much more ammo specific than say a 9MM pistol. Magtech is made in Brazil.

What Im saying is... when breaking in a new .380 pistol, don't just buy a case of one type of ammo. I've did this and learned from it. You buy 7 different types of ammo and see what works. THEN you go buy a case worth.

(Im a .380 aficionado with a bunch of .380 pistols in my safe)

Also, I buy a ton of Magtech 9MM but I avoid it in .380 as it causes a lot of problems in many of my guns so I dont want to deal with it. I have the best results in .380 with Fiocchi (made in Italy or made in USA) and Speer, Remington, or Federal.
