Not sure why some find stuff like this funny. The statistics are clear, 45% of prime working-age women (ages 25 to 44) in the United States may be single and childless by 2030.
If you look at our society today, it's "cooked".
You have corporations and the government telling young women, "men = scum bags", that's one issue.
The second the number of single parent families is increasing and when there is no solid male figure in a household, things can take a turn for the worse. Young women not only look to their mothers, but their fathers for guidance as well.
Nothing wrong with a independent woman, let's get that out of the way. But many young women these days are not enticed by finding the right man until the right man has gone. You can't find what you are not looking for to begin with.
When I was working corporate in a large Canadian city for a one of the largest consulting firms in the world, the women there were extremely intelligent. But I noticed their corporate success affected their personal life. Some did not have the time to date. Others, well, they thought they were the greatest thing, and would "rotate" with men inside and outside the firm, never being able to quench their thirst. Not to blow my own horn, but I was always approached by women to "join" their rotation or I knew they had one going on, I would kindly reject them stating I don't "**** where I eat". Word got around I was "Old Testament" not only in my firm, but neighboring firms, and apparently I became a "prize" because I was hard to break. Go figure, having self respect and not sleeping around aimlessly gains you some street cred.
Anyways, after I left, many "scandals" came out to light from what I heard in the grapevine about unwarranted, sexual approaches etc.
Then we have the education system. To have a high paying job (CPA, MBA, CFA, Dentist, Physician, etc) you're focusing around 3-4 years in your undergrad, 3-4 years in post grad, and that's not including the hours you need to accumulate etc. So when you're out of school, you have 8 years or so of academics under your belt, some work experience and debt. You'd think you will meet someone in that time in your classes etc, but honestly, that's a rare occurrence I would say.
We can go on forever. Yes, don't judge a book by its cover, give people a chance, and so forth! But I'll be brutally honest, majority, not all, of the women I've come across that have a septum ring piercing and/or colored hair, are on the opposite spectrum of my moral, political, religious and cultural beliefs, and that's okay. Why would I try to change someone?
These are staggering stats and the outlook does not look good for women especially, since most do have a strong desire to have a family and raise kids. Their "sunset" years will be nothing but loneliness and misery that a house full of cats cannot fulfill.
Turns out the crazy cat lady from The Simpsons was not just a character, it was a glimpse of the future.
