Royal Purple 0W-40 - any thoughts?

Here is a reply I got from a person I have a great relationship with at Royal Purple. I also talked to him in person about this issue.

Good morning Deven,

Thank you for contacting me and the attached thread from Bobistheoilguy.com about Royal Purple 0w40. Let me assure you that the older versions of Royal Purple 0w40 did contain our patented Synerlec additive, it just wasn't as much as our other formulations but rest assured enough Synerlec to acheive everything we say it can achieve.

Unfortunately as you know our API-SN formula of Royal Purple 0w40 does not contain any Synerlec due to the stringent demands of the American Petroleum Industry and their rigorous testing methods.

If you have any more questions please feel free to call me at my direct line and we can talk further to allay any of your concerns/fears about Royal Purple motor oils.

Thank you for choosing Royal Purple and have a great day!

I guess that is one benefit of RP offering 3 different lines of the same weight oil, you can blend your own to get the levels of whatever it is you want.
