Rotella 5w40

I use either the PL-20195 or the Wix 51516. I have to put about .20 quarts extra to make up for the extra surface area with that filter.

Running the Rotella Synthetic I will go much longer. I think that filter will hold up for 5K so I may have to replace the filter half way through. I'm not paying that much for oil and not running it through it's life cycle. I also put some Rotella T 15w40 in my 40 HP Yamaha Four stroke outboard with a M1 filter.

Yeah, I think 7K is about my limit. I can't bear to think of dirty oil in the truck. thanks for all the info.

3,000,000 miles is one hella long interval. May need a UOA around 1,000,000 to see if it's safe to continue

If I could change it I would but since everyone is enjoying the 3000K typo, I will take it like a man.

Didn't you know that you can go that long with a blend of supertech, DELO and Rotella. It's maximum protection.

Anyway, the 5w40 seem great so far but I won't know anything until I send in a sample.

You'd probably wet your drawers if I told you I drain my Rotella 10W30 every 3000 miles.

Dino if you get Shell's Rotella.

Is that dino or synth?
Dino if you get Shell's Rotella version of it.
