Road rage karma

She was doing the speed limit and at a time when there were a couple vehicles beside her, the truck tailgated right up to her. She then started her phone video and caught what was shown.
When it looks like she sped up, it was because the posted speed limit went up at the spot on the road.
At least that was what I caught on the news.

He could have continued once he got by, but couldn't let it go, decided to whip in front of her and took a whip'n

That was hilarious, two idiots trolling each other.

When passing slower traffic, I stand on it and do so as quickly as possible leaving zero time to stop along side, chat, flip birds or scream. I could care less, just let me go along my way with the impedance fading away in the rear view. 7-8K rpms explains to the impeding driver all that needs to be conveyed.

Appealing to the person who thinks he is important probably doesn't use his truck for work but likes to think he is "one of them".

Note the voice is the obnoxious Denis Leary.

I too have noticed that the biggest douche bags on the road drive big fancy expensive pick em up trucks. That look suspiciously clean for being work vehicles.

If she wants to catch an idiot doing stupid things, she should point the thing at herself.

Walked by an F-x50 today at work and the owner attached a "Size Matters" logo below the F-x50 and fake air intake emblem @ 10 oclock behind the front wheel. Looks just like the F-x50 logo, same font etc. I hope that isn't something the factory puts on.

I thought nothing could be more ridiculous than "truck nuts"; I guess I was mistaken. The guy in this video certainly is a potential customer.

I FEEL the love. Geez....so sad when many of us deal with this stuff on a daily basis. I know I do. So much anger toward each other. Be nice if all of us tried our best to be courteous and considerate.
Americans....we've lost so much.

Both are candidates for a darwin award. Put down the phone / camera / video recorder and drive. For the other guy, just wait your turn, pass when able, and don't look back. Problems solved. Life is too short to get that bent out of shape over what another driver is doing - both ways.

In regards to stereotyping, there is a lot of anger directed at pickup truck owners in here. Being on the roads daily and working often in moving traffic, my vote for most inattentive driving goes to minivan moms. Seems 9 times out of 10, they are on their phone and not paying enough attention to the road around them.

Just got back from a month long vacation on Marco Island, FL and that video reminded me of several times I was in the left lane doing the speed limit or 10mph over and I was being tail-gated by a pickup truck. Right side lane was unoccupied and I was making an upcoming left within a few hundred feet all the while having my left blinker on.

So I'll add:
1)The driver doing the videotaping had every right to be in the left lane(assuming she was doing the speed limit). We don't know if she had to make a left hand turn.
2)Same driver had every right to be holding a cell phone and videotaping with one hand while driving with the other. It is legal to drive while talking on your cell phone in Fl and no hands-free devices are required by law.
3)Driver in pickup had ample opportunity to overtake in the right lane and end of story, no crash. He lived and learned the hard way.

Strongly disagree with this one. Playing on the phone while driving is not a right (driving itself is a privilege), should not be a right, and is illegal in many places for good reason.

Put the phone away.

I have seen too much retarded behavior involving a phone to believe that this is a good idea for most of the population. This kind of distracted driving should not be condoned.

There was a story on the local news here this week where someone, who admitted to playing on their phone, plowed into a pedestrian, killing them, then fled the scene. They admitted to phoning it up in the car after they got caught a couple days later (kind of hard to hide the damage from plowing into someone I guess). We have got to stop condoning this. It should not be acceptable behavior. Just because a municipality doesn't yet have a law on the books for it doesn't make it okay. Drunk driving used to be okay too.

That's where you have to start bugging your law makers about it. It's legal in Florida. She neither got arrested or even charged with any wrong doing.

Texting while driving is illegal here, for good reason. The driver I mentioned who killed a pedestrian is getting charged with manslaughter. Hope the text was worth it.

Really though, all phone use needs to be banned in cars. Some people can operate a phone in the car, it's the large percentage who can't who are the problem. They are ruining it for everyone, be it clogging up roads because they are totally unaware of what speed they are traveling at, or flat out running over people.

Not being arrested/charged is a poor litmus test for good behavior.

Agreed. They are both extremely immature. Either could have acted like adults and defused the situation, but both choose to continue their juvenile tactics to egg each other on.

I agree. It's not a limited access freeway, it's a 4 lane divided road with left turns.

I can't argue with the legal aspect, but driving around while holding a phone and filming the surroundings is extremely stupid and ignorant. The driver doing the filming should have been paying attention to the road, not fiddling with a cell phone. The same driver also has an obligation to operate the vehicle in a safe and responsible manner; clearly playing with her electronic gadgets while driving is neither safe or responsible.

Oh, no. Some of us here in Florida solidly deserve the title.... I do love it here, but the sun bakes peoples brains and the result is that we have our share of dummies....

Still worth it though!

The problem with humans we all have a hormone called "adrenalin". I guarantee you both people in this vid were flooded with this chemical. Its a flight or fight chemical that can either save you or kill you. In this case it almost killed somebody.
