Road rage karma

I'm sure the pickup driver was upset having to pass on the right. If she pulled to the right, he would pass her on the left, flip the bird and then do rollin' coal.

Well, they were both poor sports/losers. We can't tell all of the specifics from the video, but the Ford 'lost' when he lost it.

It seems a shame that anything like this could happen on a multi-lane road. I remember when most highways (around here ) were two lane. You could risk life and limb passing somebody then somebody else could pull out and you wouldn't really make any progress.

I guess this video was not on an interstate but more like a suburban multi lane through way.

Traffic sucks, but it is what it is.

Interesting why driver # 1 was filming the tail gater. Seems to me driver # 1 should not be in the fast lane. In any event, for someone to laugh at another veh that has crashed is pretty sad.

I would estimate about 50% of the guys who buy those trucks don't need a truck but they like to ride around in a big truck and intimidate people. Probably guys under 5'5" tall.

More like guys with male organs under 5.5 inches.

I agree; For every legitimate SuperDuty/giant Dodge/huge Chevy truck who actually needs it and doesn't drive like they are vigilantes, there's at least 1 who does.

The lady may have been blocking the left lane, but the Nascar wannabe in the Superduty deserved that outcome bigtime.

X2.

The guy in the truck was being a jerk, but it seems the lady playing on her phone made every effort to instigate and escalate the situation.

For one, in much of the video, he doesn't appear to be following THAT close. Second, she may be varying her speed and/or hitting the brakes, either to purposely escalate the situation, or because she is distracted from driving because she is playing with her phone. Third, she is obstructing traffic in the left lane, when she should be getting over to allow faster traffic to safely pass.

In my book, obstructing the left lane and playing with her phone makes the creator of the video a bad driver and a menace to other drivers.

The driver of the truck was an idiot for trying to one up the behavior with the middle finger and not looking ahead, plus cutting in front of her car when it wasn't safe to do so. He had the opportunity to just pass rather than hang along the side of her car and should have simply done so. He does strike me as being a douche, but the lady in the car comes across to me as an even bigger douche honestly. Typical phone idiot who does what she wants on the road, no matter how retarded. She just happened to come across someone willing to play the game, and they both endangered other drivers.

Both should be cited with reckless driving.

and the worst part is there will be more people than ever driving slow in the left lane trying to provoke others now that this video has hit the scene. I run up against them all the time on my commute. If you can't at least do the speed limit, move over to the right.

Ford truck guy got owned. I need to get a dash cam when idiots cut me off or brake check me. I will have their license plate on the dash cam if I get an accident.

They are both morons and a hazard on the road. The idiot recording with a phone while trolling the hammer lane when she should be watching where she is going is just as much an imbecile as the guy snapping out in the 'duty who eventually puts it in the rhubarb.

I found this one very enlightening...

"I've recorded circumstances like this before, catching idiots doing stupid things, but never ever had this happen."

From her reaction in the video, it was a dream come true.

She really needs to put the freaking phone down.

I drive a lot for my job. All day, and not just on the highway, lots of it on surface streets. The vast majority (2/3-3/4) of distracted drivers I encounter are on the phone (AL does not require hands free devices), or even wearing head phones while driving. There is a correlation. It is every bit as bad as drunk driving.

Many times, these drivers are obstructing traffic.

Personally, I think cell phones should be inop when sustained movement over a certain speed is detected, say 5 MPH. Should be doable with GPS and all the other tech in phones today. A lot of people simply can't handle it, but the ones who really can't handle it seem to be the most insistent on "phone life" all the time. Some would argue "what about passengers on the phone?" Screw 'em. No phone use in a moving vehicle. Too many retards have ruined it.

I have absolutely noticed a dramatic increase in bad driving that correlates directly with the increased popularity of smart phones and the growth of "phone life" - being attached to a cell phone constantly and detached from life outside of the phone.

I'm surprised there are not "phone life" decals. More people seem to be living the "phone life" than the "salt life," "river life," or whatever the [censored] kind of other life.

I couldn't hear/find her comments until I clicked on the "watch on Youtube" icon in the lower right corner of the video screen and then a new window opens at Youtube and you can read her comments.

She was doing the speed limit and it was raining and there were trucks in the right lane. She wasn't watching him but was concentrating on the road ahead and driving, and planning a left turn ahead.

So while the guy in the Ford might have wanted to go faster I think this looks like one of those times when he should have just been happy to be going the limit, 50 is not so bad and he should have just sat tight.

I guess the story is florida drivers are stupid. I encountered one in a prius with florida plates here yesterday, it kept honking at me, apparently it thought i was preventing it from changing across lanes. I was in the middle lane maintaining the same speed, the prius in the left lane right next to me, and it was signalling for like half a mile and then started honking at me because it thought wasn't letting it change to the right lane to make a right turn. The prius should have either speed up or slowed down and changed lanes, i guess it was expecting me to speed up or slow down and make way for it to change lanes. It finally slammed on the brakes and changed over 2 lanes to make its right turn. One thing to be stupid in your own town, another thing to be from out of town and acting stupid.

must be a game. " see how slow you have to go to get the finger" stupid just spreads and spreads and spr well you get the idea.

"Floridiots"

No offense to our Florida members.

The comments are her side of the story, I am sure there is no bias there.

If she wasn't watching him, how did she know to follow him with the phone? Also, good driving isn't looking dead ahead all the time, you pay attention to the peripheral views too.

The video shows two idiots. She needs to put the phone down. The guy in the truck needs to grow up.

It be better if they had a minor crash like that into each other to learn to not engage and let the idiot pass.

I agree.

Both are white trash. End of story.
