Recommended oil for 2019 Audi Q5 2.0?

What’s the easiest to find 508 spec oil to recommend from a mainstream?

I know LiquiMoly offers one but over the years I’ve swayed away from them…

I already just purchased the new M1 0-40 formulation that has LL-01 for my BMW…
Can I make life easier and use M1 0-40 for the Q5 or should I stick with ESP X2?
CPO and AudiCare just expired so this is our first oil change myself!

I would say yes, but I would like to know what @edyvw thinks. He may recommend a Euro xw-30 for your application instead of a xw-40.

Why not buy the recommended oil from the dealer? I buy VW oil from my dealer and it is almost the same price as anywhere else.

OE Audi oil is nowhere near the price of ESP X2…it’s almost $10/qt

I would not. I would use Mobil1 ESP 0W30. It is VW 504.00/507.00 oil. You get decent bump in HTHS, but still using low-SAPS oil.

N55 535i. I like this idea too, especially here in AZ with hot climate...after the engine turns off the oil is more likely to burn off quicker than a colder climate if that makes any logic?

Nah. F10 has overkill cooling system. AZ heat is more forgiving than altitude in Colorado for example. So, don’t worry about that.
In N55 I would stick to thickest and most shear stable XW40. Mobil1 0W40 is fine choice.
In Q5 move to Mobil1 ESP 0W30. Readily available in Wal Mart, good ZDDP package, still Low SAPS oil, good shear stability and minimum HTHS of 3.5cP (which is what matters actually, not the grade).
