Hello everyone. I recently was given a 1/2 in air impact wrench. The brand name on its sticker reads Allied Pneumatic and also Made In Japan. Does anyone know anything about these tools? Google is so far not my friend nor is Youtube. Thank you for the help.

Thank you for the help. The tool still works fine. I am just a DIY person and would use the tool now and then. In my case it was free. Just keep it services, hope it holds up, and if it breaks there is no support or off the shelf replacement parts. I was given two 1/2 inch impacts. Now that I know what I have, of the two of similar mid 80s vintage...the Ingersoll Rand would be the better choice to use. Parts can still be obtained for it plus the company still supports it. Ingersoll Rand were very nice in helping me figure out what I had.

This Allied Pneumatic impact has an oil fill on the side of the body. I had not seen that before but again I am not a mechanic that uses tools everyday.
