That's the most ridiculous statement I've seen in this thread yet. The Escort isn't even in the same league as the Corolla in terms of build quality and reliability. The Corolla will easily go 300K miles or more with normally scheduled preventive maintenance. If (and that's a BIG if) the Escort somehow is able to last that long, it would require far more repairs than the Corolla would. BTW, I don't know what your statement is based on, but mine is based on years of complied reliability data.


You are saying his personal experience is worthless?


No, but I am saying reliability data compiled over years and millions of vehicles doesn't support his claim.

Funny how even when you have real life experience (not "my brothers best friend has one") you still can get bashed on here.
