Some quick pictures of a Purolator Premium Plus used for +4 Years/+40K Miles on a Chevy Gen I 350. Sorry for the ________ pictures, I'm short for time. I may redo them in the next couple of days.

I'd say that the inblock bypass valve has been in use for most of those 4 years.

If you manage to talk this owner into Auto-Rx ..I'd surely recommend multiple filter changes during all phases.

(visions of someone who managed to pull a table cloth out from under the settings ..while the rest of the dining room was destroyed)

..and the media is still intact!!!

I really think that this is the all time worst filter that we've seen here on BITOG. Now lubeowner had some skanky Warners that ruptured ..but I don't think any of them matched this for down right ugly.

Do you feel like Quincy ..except maybe in "Cold Case Files"? I think your forensic evidence is post vitus syntus. At least the subject is still alive.

Wow- Kids, don't try this at home! Probably been in perpetual bypass for what, over 20,000 miles now? Still- it looks like the filter itself held up pretty well. Thanks for the pix.

Uh- did that truck happen to belong to these guys?

That's doing pretty good for such a long haul. Better then some other brands would do.

Do you have a picture of the ADBV?

This filter didn't have a ADBV. Unless you want to consider the 1/8" inch of sludge I scraped off the base plate on the side facing the engine an ADBV.
