Purolator Boss rated at 99% @20 microns (see Mod note in thread text)

I reached out via email to find the best oil filter for my truck, and According to Mann+Hummel the Purolator Boss PL22500 is 99% at 20 micron.

You can likely get a 99% at 20 microns filter for half the price of the Boss.

The Boss line is 99% at 46 microns, if my memory serves. M+H took it down from the Purolator site because BITOG asked too many questions.

Fram Ultra has both, but they also have the leaky wavey bypass spring problem nowdays

Like mentioned thats the One efficiency and part #. Unfortunately they have glue problems. Boss is 99%@46.

They took down "99% >46u" because they don't want the the efficiency to be known. Like WIX told me on the phone that their XP's efficiency was "Proprietary".

The difference if dP vs flow between them won't make any difference to the oiling system. PD oil pump.

No one in the public knows the numbers on the Boss now. It’s a good media by my visual examinations for light spots, comparing Boss to others, use them without worry. I only looked at one Boss because they went to $4 in that size. Very happy what I found, no worries at all. They still may be cheap.
I thought the One spec sheet micron number was higher than they told you, but not using those due to the black glue issue.

That’s right everyone else knows and I don’t. I don’t know why you care, you buy PG, but it’s your business to talk how you want. Apparently I lost that right and everyone else still has it. It's just an odd hill to die on. It's right there in the spec sheet. The thing is rock catcher and they deliberately mislead the consumer.

I'm not sure if there is an argument beyond that, but uh... well there it is.

I also buy Pentius and Mobil 1. If I could find the Korean made One for my vehicles I’d buy that too.

When I run out of OEM Honda & OEM Toyota, the " Boss" will be my go to. Doing 3month/ 3K oil and filter anyway. More concerned about flow on my 03' Toyota and 13' CRV. Just my opinion.
