Not fair Pablo, you should also add shipping fee, PC fee and 5% Energy Surcharge fee. Next PP sale 99cent per qt just around the corner

OK PC is $10 for a one timer. Shipping is about $9 for the case, but gas at $4.50 gallon why doesn't anyone include that in OTC oils? Delivery is way too easy.

You are dreaming. Wake up. Please send me a PM next time PP is .99$!!

PP is $4.00 a quart at Walmart everyday and who doesn't drive right by a Walmart in their everyday activity.

Both are very good but Amsoil is designed to last longer. PP's starting Tbn is now higher than M1 at 10. Amsoil - 12.2 -13.2.

I hate to break the news, but there is no Wal-Mart in King County. And tons of people don't see one for years. This is NOT a slam on PP. It's a great oil, but simply having oil and lube products delivered to your garage or front door does not get much more convenient. Yeah -I'm a delivery junkie. I love the UPS, Fed-Ex, USPS folks, and I'm going to shoot the DHL people in the………….sun shining over the hills………over the hills………….sorry for the rant. Yes Amsoil is more expensive that PP. PP is a great oil. But it's simply not designed for as long of drains as Amsoil.

Always has been . But if someone is selling even a group II oil for .99$ they are losing money (cheaper than gasoline!).....try .99$ qt with a true synthetic and see how long you would stay in business!

I think it's becoming more and more competitive.

The only way to meet some of the more stringent specs that are now coming out is with synthetic oils. PP/Valvoline/M1 etc. are all really increasing their marketing.

You've spent (or are spending) several tens of thousands on a new truck. The cost difference between PP on shorter OCI's or longer OCI's on Amsoil is insignificant when you consider that. I follow the auto mfg's recommended OCI and use the best oil I can afford.

Buster

I could not find the TBN for PP as it is not on their web site. Where did you find it? Also, Penzoil does not give any specks for their conventional oil. Do you know where to find that information?

I will post in rebate and promotions instead. Dream or no but so far I’ve accumulated over 80qts PP at 99cent plus 24qts at 99c Valvoline synthetic just few weeks ago. Your doubtful statement means nothing to me just like for many others on this board who getting this deal year after year.

Well to be honest I’m not a fan of PP at all, using it exclusively in my Tacoma truck just because I’m going to get rid of it in couple of years anyway. All my other cars getting RL and/or Neo – anything else are just a basil sauce.

Don't get me wrong because I do use Amsoil products for my transmissions/differentials and I'm a preferred customer. But as for using their motor oils, it's most definitely cost effective to shop around. Not to mention, I feel more comfortable with two OCIs per year vs. one annual OCI.

Image based on my annual miles and OCI practices.

I use many different oils in my personal "fleet". If I were to run just 15,000 miles/year and were stuck at a "tweener" point I'd just run the Amsoil with EAO for a 12 month interval and UOA at 6 months. I've used Amsoil products for over a decade now off and on in vehicles that are of high value to me and have pushed them over 20,000 + OCI on multiple occasions without UOA...the vehicles never had oil related issues and one of them that my neighbor bought from me just went over 187k miles this year with only nickel and dime maintenance (water pump, alternator, fuel injector pod etc.). Amsoil change overs have never surprised me with consumption issues, odd noises in the valve train or any sort of seal leakage to date (knock on wood that they stay the course). Now if I pick up a winter beater here and there to put 4 or 5k miles on during wreck season it's getting the thinnest brand name dino juice and bargain filter I can find to meet its needs. But when I want proven consistency, and more free time away from the creeper(form personal experience), I order up the "juice" from Superior, WI.
