Forgot to take pics.

Generac 18kW standby generator. Nat gas fueled. 13hours loaded run time. A bit over 13mo duration.
Out: factory fill 5/30 & generac filter.

In: HPL HDMO CC 5/40 & new generac filter.

Generac portable 3600w generator.
1hr run time. 2yr oci.
Out: factory fill SAE30
In: HPL HDMO CC 5/40

Tipped my old Toro mower on its side, dump the old out the dipstick tube, and refill. That wasn't my favorite part. I finally found big 5qt jugs of 30w. Harvest King at my local fleet store. I don't know why, but that made my day. I'm a simple man.

I guess the best place to put it. It's been a few years and changing out Blue Jenny Ultimate syn compressor oil to HPL I never was unhappy with the Blue Jenny oil and recommend it but the 4th sale I'd try this.
7.5hp 80gallonn tank.

Parents new to them Cub Cadet ZT2 with 12 hours on a Kawasaki FR691
Out: factory fill, factory filter
In: Schaeffer 700 15w40 and a SuperTech ST3614

My JD 757 with a Kawasaki sitting at 2600 hours:
Out: Schaeffer 700 15w40 and Wix 51394
In: SuperTech 15w40 Synthetic and a Baldwin B33 filter

Hydraulics on the 757 had around 10 years on the oil since I changed it.
Out: Rotella 15w40 and Wix 57103
In: Schaeffer 700 15w40 and 57103

Club Car Carryall:
Out: no idea, was serviced before it went to auction but had a Club Car filter
In: SuperTech 15w40 Synthetic and ST4967

The Club Car and 757 use some oil so they will stay on SuperTech for a while. I have a leak I’ll be fixing on the 757 but the golf cart engine is getting worn out. Once the leak is fixed on the 757 I’ll probably switch back to Schaeffer.

Ok. I don't know where my "thread" went so I'll just leave this here. My john deere 314 burned oil like me and whiskey. Smoked like the devil when it started and oil didn't last long. I had to top it off almost every time I used it. I introduced valvoline premium blue 10w30 and she's been chewing on it for months now. She still smokes a little on start up and runs great when she's warmed up. But I have not put any oil in it at all since the last post I made (wherever that went) and whenever it was many months ago. She's running great. The dip stick is still on the perfect F line and is still clean as the day i put it in. Valvoline premium blue = good oil. I am also running this in my f150 5.0 and will get a uoa. Whoever is in liberty to delete my content. Thanks. You have disriupted my experiment.

Did you mean https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/t...t-small-engine-oil-change.128191/post-6876341 or a later post? In any case, glad to hear that you are seeing some improvement.

1985 Troy-Bilt Pony rototiller. Purchased and collected from the factory in Troy, not an MTD product. 5 HP Briggs flathead.

Out: 15w-40 Rotella T6
In: 5w-30 Valvoline Restore and Protect.

I'm not thrilled about running a 5w-30 in this engine but curiosity got the best of me. This machine will see a few minutes of run time here and there for succession plantings but won't see a real workout until the fall cleanup in November.

That my friend, is a tank!! They don't make them like that anymore. Good stuff from back in the day when things were made to last.

Just picked up this 2015 Exmark Viking 48" hydro walk-behind with the sulky and Kawasaki FS481V engine. I have a 1998 Exmark 48" Metro walk behind with sulky that works great, but this one being a hydro will make mowing around all my gardens, patio, and fruit trees much quicker since it has reverse. The Metro being a belt drive has "reverse assist" but really needs to be pulled backward. This also has a larger engine, where the Metro has a single cylinder Kawasaki 14hp.

As always it needs a few things to be up to my standards, such as new rear tires/tubes, belts, deck idler pulleys, all fluids and filters changed, and some new blades. Otherwise it works well and starts first pull, 660 hours which is nothing for one of these.

Out: Previous owner "SAE 30", Napa Pro 21394
In: Valvoline Premium Blue 15w40, Fram FE3614

I remember when I went from belt drive to a hydro mower. Definitely a game changer. Exmark mowers are awesome.

Was without power for 24+ hours today…. So I grabbed one of the last of these generators at about the 12 hour mark. Was supposed to change it at the 5 hour mark but between needing to sleep and work meant that didn’t get done…

It seems to sip fuel though. Granted it was on maybe 12% load for the most part, but in ~5 hours it used ~3 gallons.

Out: factory fill (SAE30), ~12hrs run time.

John Deere LTR166 Mower- Briggs 18hp
Out - Probably M1 or PP 5W-20
In - 1qt Havoline Dino 5W-30, 8 oz Rotella Gas & Truck, new Briggs filter.

Why the Havoline Conventional? Using up old stock. Still have 1 more qt from when I used it in kids old leaking CRV before I changed the crank seal. That car is gone for 3 years already.
John Deere LTR166 Mower- Briggs 18hp
Out - 1qt Havoline Dino 5W-30, 8 oz Rotella Gas & Truck, new Briggs filter.
In - 1.5 qts Valvoline Restore & Protect 5W-30, STP S3614XL

The 1.5 qt is a bit to high just over full line so might drain a little. Maybe just live with it until it burns some off, we'll see how ambitious I get.
