Glad someone noticed the remnants of my radical teenage/'80s tape collection! My new-to-me '03 Passat W8 has a tape deck so busted them out.

Any car I get with a tape deck (seems to be all of them) I get that cassette adapter before I can commit to an aftermarket radio with Bluetooth.

I was using CDs in the late '80s/early '90s and used a Discman and cassette adapter in my car at that time.

They weren't great back then with vibration so they skipped a lot..hahahaha. I remember getting a real CD head unit in a '92 Toyota truck I had and being blown away!

Let's go back into the Way Back machine.

First was 3 seconds Anti-Skip (buffering.) Not enough. I had an Aiwa with it.

Then came 10 second. This did pretty well!

Then came the G-Shock (Sony) anti-vibrational.

How am I doing?

Good luck getting that air filter to fit easily. Just put one in my 18 Legacy yesterday and it was a tough fit.

I'm going to assume that after you got it in, everything sealed up as it should, correct?

Ravenol VST 5W40 and Ravenol MTF-2 75W80. I think i will buy 1-2 more OCI worth of engine oil for the current price, i feel like it's going to get more expensive.

That Renault/Dacia will be forever grateful. Most owners use some cheap stuff

I take good care of it. I ran Shell Helix Ultra 5W40 untill now, 4k-7.5k miles OCI. Total mileage 33500 miles. I want to try VST even though Shell was fine but i think the formulation got worse after SN+ and later SP approvals. Worse pour point and flash point. Found Helix Ultra Racing 5W40 which looks similar to previous Ultra formulation (SN with Ferrari approval) but not worth the money, 50% more expensive.
VST is currently 9.8$ / 1L which is ok. MTF-2 was 15$/1L.

LE - Amsoil SS 0W40 also looks stout but its very expensive here, 16$ / 1qt.
