I got more oil and an oil filter and drain plug gasket for my sister and brother in laws 2015 Honda Odyssey.

This time I didn’t specify any brands and let the parts guy surprise me. He got me Fram High Mileage 0W-20 x5 and then an ACDelco filter and Dorman drain plug gasket. Going to be an interesting combination haha. I’ve been running Toyota oil in it and sometimes STP or something that’s high mileage with an STP 7317XL. But the oil and filter I got is totally fine because I told the parts guy surprise me. I forgot to take a picture of it though it’s sitting at work I need to bring it home.

Will like to see how this Mobil holds up as the Pennzoil is averaging 31.8 MPG on trips.

Is it safe to run a 15 y.o. filter or is it best to just cut them? I have a similar extended guard that fits my Honda.

I’ve been buying up PUP 5w-30 to take advantage of their $30 rebate on 2x5qt jugs. Walmart always has 0/5w-20 but the 30 is a little tougher to find, I’ve scored 4 so far.

I dunno. Does the media deteriorate over time or does it still work the way it intended? I assume synthetic fibers remain intact but this one is synthetic blend.
