Post your latest oil or filter purchase

If you changed oil once per year for 10 years and there was 5% of 5 qts left behind (0.25 qt), then theoretically the residual oil left from the first oil change would only be 0.05^10 = 0.000000000000098%. The oil left behind from 3 previous OCIs would still be only 0.000125%. Even leaving 5% behind from the last OCI isn't going to hurt anything. Some auto makers recommend changing the oil filter every other OCI, so that would add even more oil left behind.
Don't tell him that there are probably still 10 or so molecules of the factory fill still circulating around. He might switch to 1000 mile OCIs!

I don’t know of any case of extreme PM beyond this.
With that filter setup and boutique oil (+2 quarts over stock) just running to the OLM limit would not produce any additional wear …
2500 mile OCIs with HPL Euro?!??! Wow... Insane waste of money and resources.

Well, if these are legit - I’m set for years in the Jeep:

Honestly - this day and time - the 3k crowd could do a decent semi in those big V8’s …
It’s the 4 bangers eating themselves and the oil makes it go down easy 😵‍💫 LoL …

2 Pronto PO4459EX. I thought these were the same as the PG EX filters, but the boxes say “98% at 30 microns”. Anyone know if its just wrong info on the box?

Doubt the efficiency spec on the box is wrong. Is there any kind of date code on them? Maybe they were made by someone else besides PGI.

2025 date codes. I’m holding out hope since CQP & Microgard Select’s efficiency claims differ, despite presumably being the same. They look like PGI filters to me but I’ll have to grab pictures.

Of course Walmart delivered my 2 jugs of Mobil 1 0w20 x2 to my door last night……and it wrong. My second delivery from Walmart and again it’s wrong. 1 jug of x2 and 1 jug of 0w30 X3.

You've just got to love someone who can do the math, don't you?

Now stop confusing everyone with facts and let us all get back to senseless conjecture. :ROFLMAO:
