Post your latest oil or filter purchase

The Mobil 1 jug is easier to carry because the handle is mounted higher. Advantage Mobil 1. The Valvoline jug is easier to pour because the handle is mounted lower. Advantage Valvoline. Colors are essentially the same. Tie.
:)
Also, if you dunk Mobil 1's brochure in sulfuric acid - it dissolves.

Yet, if you dunk Valvoline's brochure in spring water - it just gets wet.

Obvious and overwhelming advantage: Valvoline.

I didn't realize there was an oil that had both 505.00 and 504.00/507.00. I wonder if it meets 502.00.

Hard to know. Have a play around with this website. There are so many variants of 504, 502, 507 etc from what I can tell. Select the specifications and click on the Volkswagen one and you'll see which ones they have on there that you can compare.

Just ordered a champ XL ph820xl filter and 2 Baldwin b329 filters from rock auto. Not going to use the carquest I got with the Mobil 1 bundle at aap. It's being sent another member for a cut and post.

i picked up a bunch of wix XP with the plastic endcaps from rockauto lol. i also have an amsoil filter that looks to be the same as the TRD filters i ran out of. i might actually stock up on those wix xps because they still have the white syntgetic media.

I just picked up another Carquest Premium filter from my local Carquest. The price actually came down since the last time I bought one! The last one was $10.49 CDN ($7.55 US) and this one was $9.62 CDN ($6.93 US). The interesting thing is that Carquest puts down a “list price” and a “net price” on the receipt. The list price went up from $13.99 to $14.99 but the price I paid went down. Not sure how that works but I’ll take it 😃

That is only about a years worth of oil, less if I share with dad. (Which I may to be nice) jugs were 15$ a piece and the filters about 2$. I feel thats a pretty fair score though not as cheap as I used to get the stuff. I do 4-6 oil changes a year depending on what's going on on the daily alone....

Bought 2 Fram Drive orange cans for my 94 f350 7.5l and 2 for my 93 C1500 5.7l I think $1.50 ea on clearance from Advance Auto. Also snagged 1 Fram Air Filter for the 460 and 38qts of Idemitsu Type H Plus atf for my Element.
