NiceOil and filters for upcoming oil changes and then dad got a couple quarts of oil at Big Lots to for his car because it uses a quart about every 2,000 miles or so which isn’t too bad. They had SuperS oil brand for $2.00. There is clearance signs up for about everything in the store which is nice. I am glad to have Big Lots back. I told the parts guy at work to surprise me with oil and get the usual filters so he got Castrol and Mobil 1 good choices in my opinion.

That’s a P66 bottle …Dealership oil out (unknown). In goes OE Honda 0w20 Ultimate Synthetic + 1 bottle of Idemitsu ZEPRO Eco Medalist 0w20 I had on hand, 4.2 qts.
Based on the cap design and the font used for the measurements on the sight glass, these oils appear to be made by the same company, or at least the bottles are made in the same factory, IMHO.

I know you mentioned OPE - using in vehicle gasoline as well?I don't even own a boat but I bought 3 gallons of 2 stroke boat oil for 9 a pop so I couldn't resist.
Went to Walmart for cat food and other things and told myself that I would not be buying any more oil cause I had enough but I had 4 stroke oil in mind so this didn't break my rule. I'll use it all up. I run it in every gas tank I get my hands on.

Yup I run approx 400:1 in all sometimes a bit richer or leaner. Quiets down the injectors and pump on my 2021 I almost can't hear them.I know you mentioned OPE - using in vehicle gasoline as well?
Cool - just started on the Jeep (3rd tank @ ounce/5) - I needed to quiet down the injectors so I can catch a valve train failure early onYup I run approx 400:1 in all sometimes a bit richer or leaner. Quiets down the injectors and pump on my 2021 I almost can't hear them.
Interesting, so Philips likely makes Honda's oil, and possibly Idemitsu? That’s a P66 bottle …
Now that's a stealFrom Wal Mart.com. Darn hard to beat $9.87 per sample kit.

640:1 is light. 1oz per 4 gal is 512:1 and 1oz per 3gal is 384:1 which is what I run but with what's left over in the tank that's already treated and with the slight change in how much I refill it's impossible to get a perfect ratio every time but it's approximately 400:1. That usually bounces from 380 to 410 or so. Try 1oz per 3 gal.Cool - just started on the Jeep (3rd tank @ ounce/5) - I needed to quiet down the injectors so I can catch a valve train failure early on![]()
They make several OEM lubes right now …Interesting, so Philips likely makes Honda's oil, and possibly Idemitsu?
Yep, and that includes CAT …As does mobil![]()
I'd demand that they send two new sample kits back if they don't find it.Yes indeed, came across my Wal Mart feed so jumped all over it. Now I’m going to have to chew the folks out at ALS as they say my FRAM 10w-40 sample is lost somewhere there.
Told them “this is not happening and it’s un-acceptable!”
