Post your latest oil or filter purchase

No pics, but just picked up Valvoline Restore and Protect 5w-30 for my beater 06 Civic... it will be 3rd OCI. Also picked up Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30 for my next OCI in my 23 CTR. Being it's everybody's darling I have to try it. ( currently running HPL 5W-30 Premium +)

Note: had to go to 3 stores to find Valvoline Restore and Protect 5w-30

Decided to try the Car quest Premiums on closeout from RockAuto. Some 5w30 Valvoline Restore and Protect too. Pics for comparison to the Mann and Hengst.

Was getting hit with a case of SAD (seasonal affective disorder) from the rapidly shortening days and long winter nights. The EcoBoost is only about 9.6k into its OCI, but I went ahead and ordered up 6 quarts of the finest engine oil available… HPL SuperCar 0w40. Mary Jane @High Performance Lubricants was exceptional as usual, and had the oil on my doorstep less than 24 hours after I placed my order! Will pair up with either OG XG10575 or an early FE10575. The Stahlbus valve makes oil changes super simple and a tool-free, 5-minute affair!

I also ordered a couple bottles of CLP since I spray it on anything that slides, rotates, or squeaks.

Second oil change on the Sportage at 1770 miles, the semisynth Valvoline and Valvoline filter I put at 500 miles are out, first "real" oil change:

The filter is made in Korea. I plan on doing 4k miles OCIs, but we'll see how it goes - I forsee the next OC at some point in Spring, I might stretch this one a notch.

My Liquimoly Overlords commanded me and I obeyed. All free from FCP Euro with my Lifetime Return Gaurantee credit. Next changes for the Atlas (Leichtlauf High Tech) and son's S3 (Molygen/Predator Blood). Always run a can of PEA fuel injector cleaner before the oil change. Interesting that these are the old-style bottles. Also interesting is that FCP finally stepped up their packing game...got really bad the last few years with everything just tossed in a box...came sealed in plastic bags this time.

getting ready to head to Moab for a week of rock crawling....I normally run mopar 75-85 gear lube in the diffs but on a whim decided i would use 75-140 in the rear for this trip.....we run 80-85mph on the way down and back about 800 miles each way and I normally run 35" tires but this trip put on some 37" so figured what the hey......it was cheap and super easy to change..I had about 10,000 miles on my last diff change which also included a trip to moab and colorado and california with lots of higher speeds and it still looked new so probably should have just left the old stuff in for another trip....I will say I kept an empty bag as it makes changing fluid so easy...If I don't use the valvoline again I will just dump whatever I am using into the valvoline bag when I change again.
