The OUTLAWS: Green Grass & High Tides
I was so proud of myself when I learned that on the guitar and could do all 7 verses. Also if you like a Jerry or Dylan voice I can do that too.“And I was standing on the side of the road
Rain falling on my shoes”
Tangled Up in Blue - Dylan
I have the whole collection and still listen to those Canadians. They started out as Bob Dylans backing players hence the title "the Band."THE BAND - " Up On Cripple Creek " written by Robbie Robertson .

And this .
We had Spike Jones on the box
She said, "I can't take the way he sings
But I love to hear him talk"
Just discovered Spike Jones was an entertainer from the 30s > '60s .
Lindley Armstrong "Spike" Jones was an American musician and bandleader specializing in spoof arrangements of popular songs and classical music. Ballads receiving the Jones treatment were punctuated with gunshots, whistles, cowbells, hiccups, burps, and outlandish and comedic vocals.
Remember the singer was unknown Sammy Hagar for the first few Montrose albums and tours?MONTROSE - " Space Station #5 " . A vision of the future ?
We were young but the memory still remains
To pick fruit from a tree, fish from the seas
Now nothin's left here but the stains
Angry face!? Why? for missing it? What a great time. Just got out of High School n was makin good money already. That summer I did multi state trucking pipe and sprinkler systems delivery for a major Fire Protection company. Day job was in the pipe n fab shop and once we had a job made up / pre-fabbed boss sent me on the road. You know how different times were? My boss sent me (many times) out of state in the truck with his own personal credit card! I paid for everything with it from hotels to fuel and meals etc... and not one person asked to see my ID all across Fla to Texas and north to Ark to Oklahoma and back many times.Remember the singer was unknown Sammy Hagar for the first few Montrose albums and tours?
I actually got to see them in that line up in a major outdoor festival July 1975. Amazing show included :
Montrose / Jeff Beck / Bob Seger / Trapeze / Black Oak Arknasas / Aerosmith / ZZ Top / J Geils Band / Peter
Frampton (right after he left Humble Pie).
I got a feeling you saw some good shows in your time.Rub it in !![]()
