Post a great line from a song, the song's name, and the recording artist

" Sue me If I play too long " 😀

On vinyl, which I bought when the album came out in 1977, the line is “Sue me if I play it wrong.” The sax player was Pete Christlieb, not Phil. My mistake. I saw the Dan in 1994. Some of the crowd laughed when they got to that line. At the time I didn’t get it but I had the box set and heard the change then. My son bought me the box set and the show tickets for Christmas 1993. I saw them in 1974 but not since 94.

"Can't help about the shape I'm in
Can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
Don't ask me what I think of you
Might not give the answer that you want me to

Now when I talk to God I knew he'd understand
He said stick by me and I'll be your guidin' hand
Don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to
Oh, well, oh, well, oh, well, well, well, well"

Oh Well
Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac
I loved early Mac. Listen to Mick’s drums on those early records.

Follow her down....to worship some god
who never speaks to me, I wonder if that's odd
Then he says,...you're never listening

Lost
The Church (No, they're not a religious band) ;)

“You were under the impression
That when you were walking forward
You'd end up further onward
But things ain't quite that simple.”

“You got altered information
You were told to not take chances
You missed out on new dances
Now you're losing all your dimples.”

I won’t post the song. This will give you all some mind exercise to figure out which song and artist this is.

"I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike.
I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride it where I like."

Queen, Bicycle, Greatest Hits album

Rosanna's daddy had a car she loved to drive
Stole the keys one night and took me for a ride
Turned up the music just as loud as it could go
Blew out the speakers in her daddy's radio

We started drinkin', wasn't thinkin' too straight
She was doin' 80 and she slammed on the brakes
Got so high we had to pull to the side
We did some shakin til the middle of the night

I got a little nervous
When she took her coat off
She looked so pretty
Ahh yeah

Snappin' her fingers

Southern Cross-by Crosby, Stills and Nash-
So we cheated and we lied and we tested
And we never failed to fail, it was the easiest thing to do
You will survive being bested
Somebody fine will come along, make me forget about loving you
In the Southern Cross

Rainbow Connection

Why are there so many songs about rainbows
And what's on the other side?
Rainbows are visions, but only illusions
And rainbows have nothing to hide
So we've been told, and some choose to believe it
I know they're wrong, wait and see
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers, and me

I cried, I cried
For a heart full of misery
Oh, yes, I cried
And now it's your turn
To cry, to cry for me
Oh, help me now
