It's hard to believe that landing gear can take that without damage. You can see the vertical stabilizer flexing and twisting in relationship to the wings.
sink rate was slow enough, I think the landing gear would be fine. Tires, not so much!
Incredible, I have to bet the barf bags got a use by at least a few.
I'll bet the people seated in the back rows got a good side to side workout of their neck muscles.
This is why good pilots should make big pay. Question for the experts: will this situation ever be automated?
The alternate airport within range probably had similar or worse conditions. I doubt the pilot didn't consider everything.

It looks like the angle and depth of the camera exaggerated just how sideways it actually was. I mean, for a few seconds it looked like it was hovering over the runway like a helicopter as well.
Impressive amount of rudder use to keep it headed down runway too. It’s amazing what wind will do
The positive dihedral of the wings coming out of the fuselage, then straightening out, remind me of Vultures Sunning themselves on a high tension wire on a cold morning. Just waiting for a car to run over something tasty.
Unless he commands it too much, and breaks it off. Like what happened on American Airlines Flight 587.
