Pet peeves go in this post.

I had to have this conversation with my wife and I explained to her why and she agreed with me.
My wife was looking at some things sold locally made a craftsman. She said "that is too expensive", I corrected her and told her that it is not too expensive, you simply cant afford to pay that. Do not insult a mans craft and value.

I find the home made cinnamon rolls, Bread, crafts, etc., extremely over priced at Farmer's market. But I could afford them with no question. For example-it was $5.00 for a cinnamon rolls-I'm not buying.

But even if you have disposable income-you still ask your self the question-"Do I feel this item is "worth it". I am not insulting-just say to myself-"it's not worth it".

Boy @Pablo had some good ones! He's potentially more disturbed than myself, which is impressive
That thread was 2006! I think within the last couple weeks this came up "Companies who totally ignore email questions." NOTHING has changed!

The bathroom thing, I worked there another 15 years. Same issue and some people had their cubicles right by that same stinkie bathroom as the company grew. I was in the same cube, away from there for 17 years or so. Wow. I WAS disturbed.

Dang thats bold.... I'd get smacked.

Was she really insulting his "craft and value" though?

There is another interpretation of the phrase "too expensive".

There was a local artist who did large beautiful landscape paintings. Her craftsmanship was fantastic, I admired them and would love to have had one.

But I was unwilling to pay $30,000, then $40,000, then $60,000 as her fame spread. They were always out of reach, just "too expensive" for me.

When people call the parts department, don't say who they are, and get mad when I ask who it is so I can put it under the correct account. FWIW the shops were I know the people that work there to the point that we are FB friends, I go out of my way to say hi to them when I see them out and about, and they know who my mom is and get all excited to talk to her, they all say who they are.

When someone is reading off a VIN or part number and doesn't use the phonetic alphabet, or at least some words to represent the letters. Then get annoyed when I ask to confirm if that is B like Bravo or D like Delta and they audibly sigh and say "nevermind let me call someone who knows what they are doing."

The "don't you know who I am?" people. Sorry, if you don't drive a racecar or are a part of my daily work or personal life, I probably don't know who you are.

A pet peeve of mine is when people omit the “s” at the end of plural words that end in “st.”

I have noticed this occurring more and more and it drives me nuts.

“I don’t think geologist like wine.”
“Only misogynist do that.”

Another one, omitting the “to be” in the phrase “needs to be done.”

“Needs done.”

It’s like we’re all cave people.

I’m buying $5 cinnamon roll.

I don’t have the time to bake it from scratch.

There are some things I don't mind paying for because I don't want to do it myself.

Another pet peeve are the people who get mad at a parts person because we can't tell them what is wrong with their car because they are too cheap to pay to have it properly diagnosed. Parts people are the pharmacists of the automotive repair world. You tell us what you need and we try to find it.

A pet peeve of mine is the assumption people either don't work, or they work from home. That is so 2021. Just got an email ice hockey evaluations for my 11 y.o. are 2 Fridays in a row, 2:15 PM to 4 PM. But school events are often like that. I'm making this up but I could see the email saying, "We understand that this time slot is going to be inconvenient especially for those shopping at Costco and pretending to be at work, but you'll have to make do." Crazy society!

Oh yes, the other pet peeve. People shopping at Costco, while pretending to be at work.
