Hi guys, i have a 2009 ford focus se that i`m planning on changing the oil in a few weeks or so and i was wondering if i could get some info please with all the hype over Pennzoil Ultra and Mobil 1 Extended Performance i`m kind of at the crossroads as to which oil is better for my engine.I currently have about 25000 miles on the car and i live in the city with about 50/50 of city and highway. Is there a particular brand that would be better for the engines of these model of cars.I bought the car preowned with only 17000 miles on it and i have put about 8000 miles on it this year. But i would say that 70% of those 8000 miles was all Highway when i went on vacation this summer for 2 weeks.

Thanks Fellas

I can only speak from experience with Pennzoil Ultra and my opinion is that it is wonderful stuff! My car was extremely smooth and upon draining it out, I noticed some sludgey-like substance that was cleaned out. I would lean toward the PU; I haven't tried Mobil 1 EP and do not plan too. I am completely satisfied with Pennzoil Ultra and Platinum.

There are probably only a handful of people on the planet that can legitimately answer this question, would be my guess.

For everyone else, toss a coin, chose the cheaper one, or use whatever method to determine which one to buy that suits you.
