As I've stated before, everyone has an opinion as to what a true synthetic is, and I've heard some doozies before, and they weren't from Amsoil dealers, either.

I must admit to being angered when learning that Mobil lost the action against Castrol. However, it seems that consumers have better choices using a more liberal interpretation of the term "synthetic" than just group IV and V oils. There are some very fine formulations that apparently blend group III, IV and V basestocks.
